Witherow Bio
Dale Witherow is a retired art professor and seminar leader. Before retiring, he exhibited in the Mid-Atlantic region, Texas, New Mexico and Mexico. After retirement, he relocated to the Pacific Northwest and exhibits on the West Coast. In the years he has lived in retirement, his work has moved from acrylic landscapes through a variety of styles, media and subjects.
Currently, his work has evolved into abstractions which display his love for color and design. Still carrying the symbolism of his past, he has restructured the elements to offer a more universal appeal.
"The act of painting keeps me connected to the present. Painting for me is an exploration of the world, self, color, design, memory, emotion, the light and the dark of all things. My painting keeps me in touch with my own life changes, and reveals new questions about how I choose to live my life.
