Victoria Tchetchet

I am attempting to find metaphors in paint for particular sensations. These sensations are not predetermined, but rather found through negotiation among proposed answers to certain persistent questions: "How much air is there?", "What is the color of light?", "How much weight is necessary?", "What is the space?", The paintings emerge through the stating and restating of answers to these questions using color, scale, mark and materiality.
