J.D. Perkin
Bio
My focus is on the human form and how to make work that is personal and unique but also resonates in the broader context of the world and time that we all share.
I’m interested in making work that occupies an ambiguous area between figuration and abstraction. An object or image whose identity is in question and whose meaning is negotiable. It is when the viewer is in question that the piece comes alive.
