Gary
Berg Bio
Mr. Berg’s recycled wood and concrete sculpture are a meditation on the constant struggle between the natural and the man-made.
His forms are massive yet minimal – often seeming to lean precariously, defiant of gravity. They are intriguing juxtapositions
of opposites; heavy and light, stable and unbalanced, natural and man-made.
Mr. Berg received his B.S. in Studio Art from the University of Wisconsin, River Falls and his M.F.A in sculpture and glassblowing
from Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. He recently participated in the exhibition The Book Borrowers: Contemporary Artists
Transforming the Book, at the Bellevue Arts Museum.
